For diamond-drilling contractors who need directional capacity without rebuilding the operation.
When steering is needed, the crew stops coring, screws Navilo onto the standard core barrel and drills the steering interval. Remove Navilo, fit the standard coring bit and resume coring.
The design target is standard rigs, rods and pumps. No separate drill string. No larger pump.
Navilo is being designed to separate the steering decision from running the tool. The person responsible for the hole decides the plan. The drilling crew carries it out.
