Why Navilo exists
Directional drilling in the diamond core drilling industry is split in two today. On one side, primitive tools — wedges and mud motors — that fail often or limit what a program can do. On the other, premium services that arrive with a specialist technician, a scheduling dependency and a price that only the largest programs can carry.
Navilo AS was founded in 2026 in Trondheim, Norway, to close that gap: a reliable steerable directional tool, simple enough for a drilling contractor's own crew to run.
What we are building
A directional drilling tool for diamond core drilling programs, rented per month, designed to run on the contractor's existing rig with minimal extra equipment. It runs a full-face bit: the tool steers the hole, and coring continues with your standard equipment.
The starting point is deliberately narrow: a simple, reliable tool — not a service ecosystem. Fewer parts, no specialist assembly, no proprietary software. Planning fits the tools contractors already use, crews get hands-on onboarding at the start of a rental, and the rest a good crew figures out. That is the point.

Engineer by background, builder by habit. André founded Navilo to make directional drilling something a contractor's own crew can run.
